Ex Libris David Climie

This Bookstore has been established in dedication and homage to my Grandfather David Climie, a successful comedy writer who worked predominantly for the BBC. He had an active and prolific career spanning 50 years, and was revered amongst his peers and rightly celebrated as a talented writer and raconteur.

David Climie was a true gentleman of class and fine taste. A highly intelligent and astute man, famously endowed with a razor sharp quick-wit and impeccable comic timing.

Throughout his life, David took great joy in collecting a plethora of books and as a result has bequeathed our family with an extensive and beautiful library. He had a furious passion for great literature and film and this is reflected in our selection.
